Quality Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team and ensure that all products and processes meet the highest quality benchmarks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing quality control systems, analyzing production processes, conducting inspections, and driving continuous improvement across the manufacturing line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and SOPs.
  • Inspect raw materials, fabricated components, and finished machinery (including Loadmatic systems).
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure adherence to engineering specifications and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with production, design, and assembly teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Maintain quality documentation, reports, calibration records, and inspection logs.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal quality policies.
  • Assist in supplier quality audits and monitor vendor performance.
  • Support continuous improvement activities using tools like 5S, Kaizen, PDCA, and Lean methodologies.
  • Train shop-floor staff on quality procedures and inspection techniques.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in quality inspection or quality engineering (preferably in machinery/automation manufacturing).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical components, fabrication processes, and GD&T.
  • Experience with measuring instruments (Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge, etc.).
  • Familiarity with welding inspection, assembly checks, and tolerance verification.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of quality tools (RCA, 7 QC tools, CAPA, Pareto charts, etc.).
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in automation equipment or heavy machinery manufacturing.
  • Certification in quality management or inspection (CQE, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Hands-on exposure to calibration systems, testing procedures, and quality audits.
